Strake Foundation Delegate

We are happy to announce that the Strake Foundation will be running a delegate for the ARK Network. The Strake Foundation Delegate will not only be assisting in securing the network and validating blocks, but also using all forging rewards to support all services that the Strake Foundation provides.

In order for us to join the delegate ranks, help to secure the network and get to work on deliverables, we need your help. All we ask is for any ARK token holders that wish to see more exchanges, more marketing, more events and just more of everything that we can and will provide, to initiate a simple vote transaction in your wallet to vote for delegate strakefoundation.

Why Vote For Strake?

As a delegate, Strake will use 100% of the forging/validator rewards for all services we provide as well as the server infrastructure required to secure the network. We will be very transparent on any actions and payments made. Each transaction and payment for services made will be announced via our twitter and will be 100% visible on the ARK Block Explorer. The Strake Foundation Delegate is a non-sharing and non-profit delegate, all forging rewards go towards infrastructure support and services provided by Strake.

The Strake Foundation is not just another anon delegate with promises, we are a known team with a real business entity. We provide services for the ARK Ecosystem including, but not limited to:

• Moderation of social media.

• Community support and outreach for the ARK Ecosystem.

• Exchange listings and support (currently supporting over 45+ exchanges with maintenance and upgrade support.)

• Dev and business outreach to expand the ARK Ecosystem.

• Marketing outreach and partnerships.

• Hosting events, conferences and meetups.

• Running the ARK Merchandise Shop.

• Blog writing and announcement services.

• AMAs, interviews and giveaways.

We are running dedicated infrastructure with a smaller backup system currently:

• 32gb ram

• 100gb ssd

This infrastructure and backups can be easily upgraded at anytime to support any future network stress or overloads.

How does voting work?

ARK is forged by elected delegates that run the network. ARK runs on a custom designed delegated proof-of-stake(DPoS) blockchain with 51 forging delegate slots and eight second block times. Each forged block creates 2 ARK which is sent to the validating/forging delegate for it’s work. Delegates are elected by ARK token holders. The token holders voting power is locked at 1 ARK = 1 Vote, as users cannot vote for more than one delegate with a given wallet address. This addresses concerns with centralization and power groups that have plagued DPoS in the past. Potential forging delegates can run instances of the ARK Core and campaign for forging status by gathering vote weight from token holders.

Users who wish to place their delegate into one of the top 51 slots must execute a special vote transaction using the ARK Vault wallet, assigning vote weight to the delegate. ARK used in voting is not locked and can freely exit and enter the voting wallet address at any time.
